The programming campus, supported by the Telefónica Foundation and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, 42 Urduliz Bizkaia and AIC Academy, will form the core of the programme aimed at introducing professionals to one of the Basque Country’s strategic industrial sectors.

The partnership will promote initiatives in technological training, professional specialisation and improved employability linked to the automotive and mobility sectors.

Both organisations will explore joint initiatives in the areas of reskilling and upskilling, the integration of training content, participation in specialised programmes, and connecting talent with businesses.

The Telefónica Foundation and the AIC-Automotive Intelligence Centre Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to promote joint initiatives in technology training and employability in the Basque Country, with the 42 Urduliz Bizkaia programming campus and the AIC Academy, AIC’s training centre, serving as the focal points for these initiatives.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the two organisations to foster the development of advanced technological skills, meet the talent needs of the automotive and mobility sector, and strengthen the link between training and industry.

The collaboration will be organised through various initiatives focused on technological training and professional specialisation. The areas of activity envisaged include the integration of training content developed within the 42 Urduliz Bizkaia environment into programmes promoted by AIC, and vice versa; participation in specialised training initiatives linked to the automotive sector; and collaboration in forums relating to employment and talent.

Furthermore, the agreement provides for the joint design and development of activities aimed at young people and professionals interested in improving or updating their digital knowledge and skills, with a particular focus on reskilling and upskilling processes linked to new technologies and their industrial application.

42 Urduliz Bizkaia, supported by the Telefónica Foundation and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia since 2021, has established itself as a centre for free technology training aimed at developing digital skills aligned with the needs of the labour market. Thanks to this partnership with AIC, the campus will strengthen its links with one of the Basque Country’s strategic industrial sectors.

For its part, AIC will contribute its knowledge of the automotive and mobility ecosystem, as well as its expertise in advanced training and in developing initiatives aimed at innovation and business competitiveness.

The collaboration also provides for coordinated participation in conferences, meetings, job fairs and other outreach activities that help connect digital talent with the professional opportunities available within the Basque business community. The agreement will also enable the identification and development of new joint initiatives aligned with the founding objectives of both organisations.
