AIC invites you to participate in the E-Bike Motor BENCHMARK, which will take place on November 25 at AIC’s facilities, with the aim of analysing the design and manufacturing strategies adopted by different manufacturers in the sector.
During the Workshop, we will conduct a comparative analysis of motors developed by emerging players in the market. We will explore the different types of motors and the main industry trends, as well as the key success factors for an e-bike motor in the market.
We will focus on four selected motors, which will be examined and compared in depth. Interactive physical models will be available for direct observation and hands-on examination of each motor, providing a detailed technical analysis of their components, design, materials, dimensions and construction architecture.
We will share the key lessons learned and conclusions drawn from this selection of mid-drive motors:
- MAHLE M40: The first full-power mid-drive motor in the new M series.
- SEG BMM85 HyperShift: Automotive industry know-how applied to an integrated motor and gearbox system.
- DJI AVINOX: The Chinese motor that has redefined power limits, delivering up to 1,000 watts and 120 Nm of torque.
- PINION MGU E1.12: An eDrive system that integrates a motor and a 12-speed gearbox into a single unit.
AIC’s technical team has carried out an extensive teardown and technical analysis of the motors, whose components will be available for direct examination during the event. This detailed analysis will be complemented by the units featured in the previous edition (BOSCH, SHIMANO, MAHLE, BAFANG, DECATHLON and TQ).
This hands-on experience will be complemented by a presentation delivered by AIC’s Competitive Intelligence team, covering the following topics:
- Overview of the European market and key trends in the bicycle industry.
- Technical benchmarking: comparative analysis of the selected motors, their distinguishing features and key conclusions.
- Direct access to the physical teardown: an interactive exhibition of the analysed motors.

AICk Bizikleta Elektrikoen Motorren BENCHMARK jardunaldian parte hartzera gonbidatzen zaitu. Jardunaldia azaroaren 25ean izango da, AICren instalazioetan, eta sektoreko fabrikatzaileek erabiltzen dituzten diseinu- eta fabrikazio-estrategiak aztertzea izango du helburu.
Tailerrean, merkatuan sortzen ari diren eragile berriek garatutako motorren azterketa konparatiboa egingo dugu. Motor mota desberdinak eta sektoreko joera nagusiak aztertuko ditugu, baita bizikleta elektrikoen motorrek merkatuan arrakasta izateko funtsezko faktoreak ere.
Aukeratutako lau motorretan jarriko dugu arreta, eta horiek sakon aztertu eta alderatuko ditugu. Eredu fisiko interaktiboakizango ditugu eskuragarri, motor bakoitza zuzenean behatu eta manipulatu ahal izateko. Honi esker, osagaien, diseinuaren, materialen, dimentsioen eta eraikuntza-arkitekturaren azterketa tekniko zehatza egin ahal izango da.
Aukeratutako motor zentraletatik ateratako ikasgai eta ondorio nagusiak partekatuko ditugu:
- MAHLE M40: M serie berriko potentzia osoko lehen motor zentrala.
- SEG BMM85 HyperShift: Automobilgintzako ezagutza eta esperientzia motorra eta abiadura-kaxa integratzen dituen sistema batean aplikatuta.
- DJI AVINOX: Potentziaren mugak birdefinitu dituen Txinako motorra, 1.000 watt arteko potentzia eta 120 Nm-ko momentu eragilea eskaintzen dituena.
- PINION MGU E1.12: Motorra eta 12 abiadurako kaxa unitate bakarrean integratzen dituen eDrive sistema.
AICeko talde teknikoak motorren desmuntaketa eta azterketa tekniko sakona egin ditu, eta haien osagaiak zuzenean aurkezteko eta aztertzeko aukera egongo da jardunaldian. Azterketa zehatza aurreko edizioan landutako motorrekin osatuko da (BOSCH, SHIMANO, MAHLE, BAFANG, DECATHLON eta TQ).
Bestetik, esperientzia praktikoa AICeko Adimen Lehiakorreko taldeak eskainiko duen aurkezpen batekin osatuko da. Bertan, honako gai hauek landuko dira:
- Europako merkatuaren ikuspegi orokorra eta bizikletaren industriako joera nagusiak.
- Benchmarking teknikoa: aukeratutako motorren azterketa konparatiboa, haien ezaugarri bereizgarriak eta ondorio nagusiak.
- Desmuntatutako motorren zuzeneko azterketa: aztertutako motorren erakusketa interaktiboa.
