AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center has been selected by the Automotive Regions Alliance (ARA) to host a high-level meeting bringing together regional leaders from Europe’s automotive industry ecosystem.

More than 60 representatives from 30 European regions gathered at AIC to discuss the major challenges currently facing the European automotive sector and to gain first-hand insight into how regions such as the Basque Country — and particularly the AIC ecosystem — are responding to these industrial and mobility transformation challenges.

Throughout the meeting, participants addressed key topics linked to industrial competitiveness, sustainable mobility, innovation and the future of the European automotive value chain, highlighting the strategic role of regions in supporting a balanced and competitive transition for the sector.

The event concluded with the presentation of the Bilbao Declaration, an initiative aimed at strengthening the foundations of a more competitive European automotive industry by improving coherence between industry and regulation, reinforcing industrial capabilities and value chains, and shaping the future dimension of the automotive transition in Europe.

This meeting further reinforces AIC’s position as an international benchmark ecosystem for innovation, collaboration and advanced mobility within the European automotive industry.
