On May 9th, 2025, the facilities of the AIC hosted the BikeTalent awards ceremony, a pioneering initiative in the Basque Country aimed at fostering creativity, innovation, and a strong commitment to urban sustainable mobility among Vocational Training students.
During the event, the finalist projects developed by the participating teams were presented. These included versatile pedal-assist vehicle designs as well as technological and digital prototypes focused on improving cyclist road safety.
BikeTalent was created to address the mobility limitations imposed by environmental regulations and the pedestrianization of city centers. It promotes the development of innovative, sustainable, and socially meaningful products and services. The jury evaluated the projects not only based on their technical and economic feasibility, but also on their social and environmental impact, such as the use of recycled materials or the inclusion of people with reduced mobility.
The program has established itself as a strategic driver of competitiveness in the sector, connecting young talent with real-world industry challenges and encouraging a transition toward more inclusive and sustainable urban models.
Award winners were recognized for their efforts and dedication to responsible mobility, in a ceremony that also served as a meeting point for students, educators, industry professionals, and institutional representatives.
Congratulations to all the students!
